Having more pages that are optimized for different keywords gives you increased opportunity for traffic. It doesn't necessarily mean more traffic, though, since it depends on how popular and how competitive those new keywords are. Links from a diverse range of websites is good, many links from a single domain to your site (especially if it’s one of the very sites linking to you) can be seen as spammy. SEO is alive and well, and its just as powerful as it ever was. The goal of negative SEO is to lower the rankings of competitor websites. This, they believe, will subsequently elevates their own rankings once the competition is out of the way.

Optimal size of title tags

Information Snippets are the block of text found under the main title of a google search result. The use of information snippets are important when writing an article. Search engine optimization is perhaps one of the greatest marketing tools to come about online, but without proper article submissions it won’t work out to your liking. That is why it’s imperative to search and find the best article directories to submit your hard earned work and watch the numbers start to add up. Most of the “solid information” and “powerful strategies” on internal linking are little more than sophisticated-sounding prognostication. Still, there’s some merit to theorizing about how Google ranks and values the internal network of linking. In order for backlink checkers to exist, the entire web (i.e. billions of pages) has to be crawled, regularly re-crawled and stored in a monstrous database. The costs and challenges associated with doing this are HUGE.

Does the content bring through traffic outside of organic search?

Avoid elements that annoy visitors. You might think that a cool pop-up will make people sign up for your great e-book, but that popup might just as easily make them surf away from your site altogether. Keep in mind, when a searcher goes to your site, then quickly clicks the back button and chooses another result; Google and Bing are not looking kindly at you. Make an account with both Google and Bing, and access each Webmaster Tools (Google recently renamed Google Webmasters and it’s now Search Console) area to ensure your website has proper indexing. Beyond indexing, they help you evaluate your internal links, diagnose or fix problems, as well as your website’s backlinks and which keywords are sending you traffic. Understanding how crawling, indexing, and ranking works is helpful to SEO practitioners, as it helps them determine what actions to take to meet their goals. If possible, choose a domain name which includes your local area, and structure URLs to include relevant geographical terms where possible. Create content which talks about your local area, but be sure to make it engaging and relevant to provide a good user experience. Include your business NAP (name, address and phone number) on every page of your website – not just your home page or contact page.

Chase down citations and local links

Do not try to avoid no-follow links completely. These links may have value in improving your search rank. Brand mentions and co-citations are also very important to Google, in determining the quality and usefulness of a particular web page. Google counts thousands of PhDs as employees. And while its algorithm over the years has been incredibly vulnerable to abuse by spammers, increasingly it’s taking into account the context in which a link appears. Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull, had the following to say: "Never start writing an article without performing a keyword research. The best tool to use is the free Google Keyword Tool."

Minify CSS and JS

Most search engines like links of either type, although more specifically the one way links. One way links are more especially relevant where the website that has a link to your website has related content to that of your website. The same applies to the importance of the website page which contains the incoming linkto your website – this can be determined using tools such as Google PageRank. Obviously, the greater the ranking, the higher the value of that inbound link in terms of search engine rankings. Create good content and in time the links will follow. When a website focuses on content, website owners and general users tend to talk about it and share it with others. This is a very naturalistic way of doing link building but still does not provide any guarantees. However, from a search engine standpoint, the ethical way of link building has always been more rewarding. Offsite references, reviews, and social links play a role in how your content performs on search engines. Inbound links to your site are still important, and so is a logical sitemap with internal linking among pages. Anchor text gives search engines an indication about the content on the page that the link is leading to. Do not overstuff your anchor text with keywords and nor use very generic keywords. Choose your keywords wisely.
