Google is showing Context is King when it comes to indexing people in Google's Index. Link signals tend to decay over time. Sites that were once popular often go stale, and eventually fail to earn new links. The mechanism of a backlink is essentially a vote from another website to yours - a vote that says that your website is authoritative enough or trusted enough to link to. It is important to remember though that organic link building does not happen overnight. You have to build a perceptive strategy to generate the highest quality of content and then promote it amongst the influencers of your market to gain organic links.
The first choice should be navigation
Social signals like those from Twitter and Facebook are increasingly valuable, despite being no follow. The key is to build your brand – don’t think of what links are good for SEO, but instead think what links are good for your business, your brand, and what links can help establish you as an industry authority. Remember that links, no follow or not, build trust. Make sure you
optimize your content with the right key term. This way, Google spider can index and serve your content to targeted search users. Would you rather read 5 articles about one subject, or one or two well thought articles with significant amounts of data or thought process to back them up? Cloaking refers to an attempt to boost search result rankings by serving different content to Googlebot than to regular users. This causes problems such as less relevant results (pages appear in search results even though their
content is actually unrelated to what users see/want), so Google takes cloaking very seriously.
Wait. Is it really that simple?
Writing a good title tag should read more like a newspaper headline than a bunch or keywords, so keep it descriptive, but of course, still with keywords included. There are many different opinions on the ideal length of the title tag, but most agree that 110 characters should be the minimum. Sometimes you might
spot a particularly juicy keyword when conducting your research. But just because a keyword has high volume, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a good one to rank for. If you have several versions of your site in different languages, add visual
cues linking to your multilingual content in or near your top navigation. For
example, you can use flag icons to link to each country or language’s site.
Apple even has a page that lists all the countries for which they provide a
website version. When pursuing a link, which is more important, relevance or authority?
Minimize broken links
Honestly, I wouldn’t suggest moving so quickly that you risk some type of penalty. Particularly with backlinking, if your ‘velocity’ or the time passing and frequency of links procured rises too fast – it will look fishy and unnatural. Ensure the number of new site visitors arriving via organic search is growing, month to month and year over year. Long-format articles in excess of 1000 words are the prescription for getting the search engines to see your content as something trustworthy. Gaz Hall, from
SEO Hull, had the following to say: "Search engines want to show the best content based on context relevance, authority of the site, trustworthiness based on how other sites and people engage with the site, and other factors."
Write a 1000+ words article, forget 500
A good place to look for keywords is your internal site search. Offering visitors a search box within your site is good for users but also good for you, because it collects search query data. Google allows webmasters
to geographically target certain websites
or sections of your website to certain locations and regions via Google
Webmaster Tools. You can find these settings by logging into your Webmaster
Tools account, looking under Site Configuration, and changing your geographic
targeting in the Settings tab. f someone is more actively seeking something then it’s more likely they’ll search longer strings of words, meaning that you will target people who will be more willing to engage with your content. If you’re selling goods or services, then targeting long tail keyword can really make a big difference. A headline is usually the first thing we notice when accessing a search engine, and this reminds us that a headline should be: valuable, relevant, simple and appealing.
