Build your site with a logical link structure. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link. Focus on producing content on your site that educates and engages your prospective customers so they keep coming back to learn more. Build links as if Google didn’t even exist – links that will bring you customers in addition to rankings. SEO marketing can be a very powerful tool for generating massive passive traffic. But if you use it incorrectly, you’ll end up doing more harm than benefit.
Understanding the rationale behind algorithm updates
SEO is a set of practices and techniques to optimize a website to get it to the top of the search result listing for specific keywords or terms. Any link to
another part of the same site is called an internal link. As well as links you'd expect to find (within a site menu bar, for example) you can also create internal links by linking to past posts within newer ones. Search engines simply want to deliver the most relevant results to their users based on search queries. Try to target a hungry crowd
With the likes of Google Analytics and other tracking software, it can be much easier to measure the reach and success of your local SEO efforts than it is to measure the success of non-digital marketing methods. With methods such as flyer drops and broadcast advertising, which tend to require long-term campaigns to build brand recognition and trust, it’s particularly difficult to measure just how many people engaged with your advertising and converted into customers as a result. Performing regular audits
on your website’s links is a good way to detect suspicious, potential negative SEO activity. Regularly monitoring of your link profile can also help you catch a possible attack early and prevent it from spiraling out of control. Take an aspect of your niche that people find difficult and create the most comprehensive tutorial there is on the subject. t’s not necessarily bad to optimize for traffic, it depends on your goals; if you’re in e-commerce or a service based business it is more valuable to invest your resources in making sure you rank well for the terms that are most likely to lead to a sale; optimize for conversion, not just to gain the visitor.
Identify backlink opportunities
Write “linkbait” articles that will attract the attention of social networks. These articles can be valuable resources, controversial, or humorous. The search engines attempt to measure the quality and uniqueness of a website’s content. One method they may use for doing this is evaluating the document itself. How SEO works for a big brand with an established reputation and a massive marketing team, PR agency and all of that stuff is very different to how SEO works for some local tradesmen with a low-end budget that has to catch up with the big boys. Gaz Hall, a
Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "If you take the time to apply these tips to your search engine optimization plan, you are going to see some great results. No results happen overnight but these tips and advice are sure to help you get the results that your sites need a bit quicker than you would accomplish it otherwise."
Maximize Organic CTR
Local businesses can’t be fully evaluated on the basis of links. Since the advent
of Panda and Hummingbird, LSI is becoming increasingly important in SEO as it’s used by Google to determine between ‘keyword stuffed’ articles and genuinely relevant content. The header text, or H1 text, is usually the title of an article or some larger
bold text at the top of your page. Google and the smaller search engines can
see this and they put extra importance on the words in the H1 text. Make sure
your target keyword or phrase is there. The search engines are always trying to improve the quality of their results and because of this, the ranking signals are adjusted daily. In most cases these are very minor tweaks, but they are changes nonetheless.
